Note from BCAC~ If you do not receive fuel assistance or your child is not enrolled in Head Start, you will need to provide:
PROOF of INCOME from the past 30 days
A birth certificate for each child applying to the program.
A working phone number for when we call to schedule your shopping or pickup time. BCAC will be unable to update phone numbers DURING the warm clothing program

The North Adams Mobile Food Bank will be distributing FREE produce and grocery items on Friday, 10/6, from 11am to noon at the Brien Center. Please note the new time!

The conference allowed them to learn from the pioneers of educational research to ensure we are utilizing the most impactful and up-to-date instruction practices to support student literacy. The City of North Adams is collaborating with the towns of Adams, Cheshire, Lanesborough, and Florida on a digital equity plan. Digital equity refers to the concept that all individuals and communities have fair and equal access to digital technologies--including internet, computers, mobile phones-- as well as the skills to use them.
The survey is open to anyone living in Berkshire County. The information provided will outline a path for closing the digital divide. Thanks for taking a few moments to complete this important survey!

Little Amal: Musical Mystical Tour
All are invited as we welcome Little Amal to North Adams. Amal – whose name means “hope” in Arabic – is an internationally celebrated 12-foot-tall puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl. She has been welcomed by more than 250 uniquely created artistic events across the globe since 2021.

The McCann Cross Country team is holding a fundraiser event on Saturday, 9/16.
It is a Walk/Run for Maui Fire Relief. 5k trail run and 1 mile walk at Whitney's Farm.
All registration monies will go to a Maui non-profit to aid in fire relief.
To improve the health of everyone in Massachusetts, we need to center the voices of people and communities who have been long denied an equal chance at health. The Community Health Equity Survey is an opportunity for residents to share their experiences and priorities to help shape the future of our health. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health will use survey results to improve our programs, make decisions about funding and resources, and support policies to improve health inequities. We will also share the results of the survey with partners across Massachusetts to support the important work they are doing to improve health in their communities.
The survey will be open from July 31, 2023 through early Fall 2023. Anyone aged 14 and older can take the survey. It takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete and is available in 11 languages: Arabic, Cape Verdean Creole, Chinese (simplified), Chinese traditional, English, Haitian Creole, Khmer, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The survey will also be available in ASL later this summer.
